Bergrivier Municipality Bursary Eligibility Requirements
You will need to meet the following criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must permanently reside within the Bergrivier Municipal area.
- Must be currently in Matric or have completed Matric.
- Must be studying or intending to study towards their first Degree or National Diploma at an accredited tertiary institution in South Africa.
- Must meet the entry requirements of the chosen institution.
- Preference will be given to students aged 18 to 35 years (students outside this range may still be considered).
- Preference will be given to students from poor households where parents or legal guardians earn less than R3,500 per month.

Forms are also available at the Human Resource Services Department in Piketberg.
Submit clear copies of the following documents along with your completed application form:
- Certified copy of ID document.
- Certified copy of Matric final results or certificate.
- Certified copy of the full tertiary academic record (if currently studying).
- Proof of registration or acceptance at a tertiary institution (on official letterhead).
- Breakdown of study fees for the year (on official letterhead).
- Proof of residential address (municipal account).
- Certified copy of parent or guardian’s ID document.
- Proof of parent or guardian’s monthly household income (salary/pension slips or affidavit if unemployed).
Applications must be hand-delivered to one of the municipal offices.
