Eligibility Requirements for the Breede Valley Municipality Bursary
Every applicant must meet the following requirements:
- Must reside in the Breede Valley Municipality (Rawsonville, Worcester, De Doorns, Touwsrivier)
- Must be currently in Matric or have completed Matric
- Must have achieved a minimum overall average of 50% in Matric
- Must be studying or intend to study at an accredited tertiary institution in South Africa
- Must preferably be pursuing a field related to local government (but other fields may also be considered)
- Must NOT be receiving NSFAS funding or any other bursary award
- Must support and endorse the municipality’s vision of excellent service delivery and growth
How to Apply
- Download and complete the Breede Valley Municipality Application Form 2025.
- Also, collect a hard copy application form from municipal offices and libraries in Rawsonville, Worcester, De Doorns, and Touwsrivier.
- Submit the following supporting documents:
- Certified copy of ID document
- Certified copy of Matric latest results (if currently in Matric)
- Certified copy of Matric certificate (if completed Matric)
- Full tertiary academic record (if currently studying, on institution letterhead)
- Proof of tertiary registration (on institution letterhead)
- Breakdown of study fees, including book fees (on institution letterhead)
- Parents/guardians’ proof of income: latest payslips if employed, affidavit if unemployed, bank statements if self-employed, proof of grant/pension if applicable, or death certificate if deceased
