About the Bursary Provider
The North West Provincial Government is an administrative body in South Africa responsible for integrated service delivery, growth, and development within the province.
The bursary is administered by the Office of the Premier, which provides leadership across various government departments, including Health, Public Works and Roads, Education and Sports Development, Finance, Economy and Enterprise Development, Social Development, and more.
Eligibility Requirements for this bursary
To be considered for this bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen residing in the North West province
- Be currently in Matric (2024) or have completed Matric
- Intend to study full-time towards an undergraduate qualification in one of the eligible fields in 2025
- Be accepted or intend to study at an accredited public tertiary institution in South Africa
- Have a strong academic record
- Preference will be given to students in financial need

- Certified copy of ID document
- Certified copy of Matric final results/certificate (NSC certificate must be submitted once received)
- Certified copy of final/latest academic results (if currently studying)
- Certified copy of university acceptance letter (if available)
- Proof of income (latest payslips for employed guardians, affidavit for unemployed, pension statement if on state pension, death certificate if deceased)
- Proof of residence (letter from Traditional Authority Offices for villages, letter from Municipality Offices for towns/townships/farms)
- Proof of disability (doctor’s letter/medical record) if applicable
