The district incorporates five local municipalities: Saldanha Bay Municipality, Bergrivier Local Municipality, Matzikama Local Municipality, Cederberg Local Municipality, and Swartland Municipality.

West Coast District Municipality Bursary Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for this bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:

You, your parents, or guardians must reside within the West Coast Municipal Area.
You must be currently in Matric or have completed Matric.
You must be studying or registered for an undergraduate degree or national diploma in one of the eligible fields (full-time at a university or university of technology, or part-time at UNISA).
You must be studying at a recognized and accredited South African university or university of technology.
You must have achieved at least 40% for Mathematics OR 50% for Mathematical Literacy in Matric.
You must have obtained an overall average of at least 60% OR an overall average of 50% with a minimum of 60% in Mathematics.
Preference will be given to students from historically disadvantaged backgrounds and those living with disabilities.

Certified copies of parents’ or guardians’ ID documents.
