About the Bursary Provider
Hessequa is a town area in the Western Cape, and it used to be called Langeberg. It looks after towns like Albertinia and Stilbaai.
They want to help students who live there by giving them money to go to college or university.
Hessequa Local Municipality Bursary Eligibility Requirements
You must meet the following criteria to qualify for the bursary:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must reside within the Hessequa Municipal area in the Western Cape Province.
- Must be between 18 and 23 years old.
- Must have completed Matric.
- Must be studying or intending to study towards one of the listed qualifications.
- Must be registered at an accredited tertiary institution in South Africa.
- Must have a strong academic record.
- Must not be receiving another bursary award or NSFAS funding.
- Must demonstrate financial need (unable to afford tertiary studies).
- Must commit to uplifting and improving the community.
- Students with disabilities and those from historically disadvantaged groups are encouraged to apply.
How to Apply
Follow these steps to apply for the Hessequa Municipality Bursary:
- Download and complete the Hessequa Municipality Bursary Application Form.
- Submit clear copies of the following supporting documents along with your application form:
- Certified copy of your ID (not older than three months).
- Matric certificate.
- Proof of qualification or latest examination results.
- Proof of tertiary registration (on the institution’s letterhead).
- Proof of residential address (recent municipal account).
- Parents’ or guardians’ proof of income (latest payslips, certified copy, or affidavit if unemployed).
- Comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- Proof of disability (if applicable, a letter from a medical doctor confirming permanent disability).
